2012 Year End Post and Plans for 2013

First of all you may check out my 2011 Year End Report. 2012 has been a fruitful year for me and this blog, This blog is keep on having a passive income that makes sustainable amount to keep this blog and my other blogs running. I tried hiring writers for this blog to cope up with my busy schedule but that does not last for a very long time. It is also the reason why you have not seen updates from this blog for more than 1 month.

It is also the year that we found out about my father kidney problem (here).

Tech At Hand Dot Net Statistics year 2012

Traffic might not be higher than last year but I could say that this year is the most profitable year for me, (What I mean is a combine income of all my blog) even we don’t have AdSense on this blog, we manage to get local sponsored post as well as other contextual ads like Chitika, infolinks, Nuffnang and others. I think it’s all about the brand and trust.

I may not have enough updates on this blog this year but I will try to stay in focus and give updates by next year, for sure it will not be purely tech. I am again studying SEO techniques and tips for the last few days and have been applying those tips on my newly started niche blogs. SEO nowadays is more difficult compared before, it is not only because of Penguin and Panda but because competition is very high.

As I have said before, I treat all of my blogs as a business and I am still having this blog because this is still an additional source of income or I may say one of my assets.

I have started learning about investment and that is why I have also started the Pinoy Investment Guide, for almost a year I have been doing investing through stocks and other long term investment. It is really new but probably by next year I will have constant updates on that blog also.

My Riyadh Blog also keeps on cashing in. Not because of contextual ads but through local advertising. The best thing in Saudi Arabia is that competition is low compared to Philippines Blogs.

I also plan to expand blogging into an online store by next year but I am still thinking on ways how to start it. I was a failure on selling e-loads in Saudi Arabia, because most of my buyer did a chargeback in Paypal, in other words I have a lot of scammers in my business, but one thing is for sure I learn form that incident. I also learn that it is hard to win paypal case for chargeback.

Blogging has been helping me to cope up with my finances, I might be working Abroad but supporting my father who is having it’s kidney dialysis is not easy. Thanks to those who supported my father’s dialysis, friends, blogging friends, and unknown readers, you know who you are and not need to mention here.

In this year I have also started doing the e-mail marketing, this is because I heard lots of things about email marketing. One thing is true, Google has no power about your list. It is the owner of the list who control the list. I am still learning about the ins and out of email marketing but it is great to evolve and learn new things in life. BTW to those asking I am using Aweber (affiliate links). I have also learn that it is not the quantity of email counts but the quality of email that you have.

My parent’s local business in Taal is also doing great and my social media marketing skills as well as my skills on driving visitor to our Best of Taal blog is still working. I hope to make it bigger next year. If I can increase their sales through marketing, it will definitely help us on my father’s medication.

Despite all those things that happened to us and this blog on year 2012, it keeps my faith in God stronger than ever. I keep on praising the Lord because I always believed on Romans 8:28.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[a] have been called according to his purpose.

God Bless you all and have a prosperous year ahead of you.

      @Allen,

      I am now relying on other ads like chitika, infolinks, private ads and others. I can also say that my presence in the internet for almost 7 years helps a lot gaining trust from the client 🙂
