Blackberry Playbook Releases Huge Upgrade, OS 2.0

Never mind late than never, that’s the latest report from Research in Motion, as they announced today the broad upgrade to the Blackberry Playbook OS 2.0.
 
The significant updates are the email integration or the unified box app where messages from clients are stored in one place, including personal and work emails, Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin messages. Also in the app, is the calendar and consolidated contacts from Social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin.

There’s a new Blackberry Bridge app that features a remote control application for the Blackberry Playbook. Using this app, a BlackBerry smartphone can function as a wireless keyboard and mouse to perform a similar PC set up.

RIM has also included thousands of new apps to run on Blackberry Playbook available from wide range of Android market apps such as Need for Speed Undercover and TETRIS.
 
A short key specifications on Blackberry Playbook: 1GHz nVidia Tegra 2, Dual Core processor, 1GB RAM, 1080p HD, 7-inch HD touchscreen at 1024 x 768 resolution, 5MP rear camera, 3MP front camera and HDMI.

According to the reports, the new update for Blackberry Playbook OS 2.0 is now available to download over the air from Research in Motion.
