Cherry Mobile Eclipse is Coming

Jun 28, 2010 by     5 Comments    Posted under: Gadget, Philippines, Tech Stuff

Cherry Mobile is now entering in the phone market in Philippines having branded as the cheap dual sim phone, now they will release the ECLIPSE, a dual sim Phone powered by the latest Windows Mobile 6.5 platform, features such as 3.2-inch touch screen, Dual-SIM/Dual-standby capability, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, threaded messaging for a chat-like texting experience, and a pre-installed Facebook Mobile app that lets users update their Facebook status in real-time is seen.

“With Eclipse, Cherry Mobile built on the full capabilities of Windows Mobile 6.5 and created a device that provides users with a rich and satisfying mobile experience,” remarked Danny Ong, marketing director, Microsoft Philippines. “We are one with Cherry Mobile in aiming to deliver cutting-edge communication technology to the mass market.”

“While more and more Filipinos are becoming increasingly tech-driven, those in the mass market are inclined to shy away from smart phones, as many of them are prohibitively expensive,” said Lonson Alejandrino, sales head of Cherry Mobile for smart phone segment.

So would you think it would hit the market with its cost of Php 9,999.

Cherry Mobile’s has a special tie-up with the blockbuster Twilight movie franchise, with the third film in the series, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, in theaters on June 30 but I don’t know what is the benefit, they might have free mobile ticket during purchase ? I don’t know.
