We have experienced problem when we migrate from VPS (Virtual Private Hosting) to DreamPress. Good to report that our blog is now live and working.
For any problem that you might be experiencing please let me know by commenting in this post.
I do expect some more problems. I believe that Dream Host will act on my query as soon as possible.
So far here are the WordPress Error Encountered which I believe can help future searchers for the same problem. I have also detailed my solutions to the problem.
- I came to know that my DNS name server is directly pointing to Cloudflare which should not be. My Name Server should be pointing to Dream Host Name servers and they should configure it for me. ( 1 day to propagate )
- I also experience ” Error Establishing Database Connection” after changing my mysql password.
- I also found out that my site is still configure to Max CDN, even though I already removed this long time ago.
- I also experience this error “ a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an > ErrorDocument to handle the request. “, it made my site in accessible for a day. But later I found out that the solution is easy. I just have to bring back the default permalink and then put back to my desired permalink again, then it works fine. The only problem is that my share this count was reset to zero.
I have been using WordPress for almost 5 years and yet there are times I still experience that as if I am new to WordPress, My lesson learn is to keep my self updated with WordPress as well as review technicalities when it comes to WordPress because i never know when will it be needed.
As a final note, DreamHost live chat helps a lot to understand and get updates about the site problem.
