11 inches is a pretty big screen. Netbooks seem to be growing and growing – the latest Lenovo has a 12.1″ screen but is still called a netbook! I’ve read that Microsoft and Intel have agreed to set the maximum size of the netbooks at 9 inches for Windows 7 so at least someone is attempting to define this class of mini-notebook.

I write this now on a Dell mini 9 powered by the standard Ubuntu Os. Not sure if bigger or more expensive is better. I carry the 9 everywhere. reason: it’s only $200. I wouldn’t want to replace a $450 machine if I were riding my bike and crashed and it broke.

    Please dell…keep the 9 going strong…and cheap!
