CES 2012 : Lenovo S2 Smartphone | Features, Specification and Kernel-level Security System


Smartphones nowadays are playing with designs to make standout from the rest. Lenovo just did some features to make it stand out from the rest, with its rounded curves and slim body of Lenovo S2 phone, it will definitely get the attention of the new users.
Of course, Lenovo will not come out an unarmed with its new offering to brag about the security of the phone against data theft, phishing, SMS traffic, called ” kernel-level security system“.
S2 has great features starting from 3.8-inch WVGA capacitive display touchscreen with 16 million colors support, 480 x 800 pixels resolution and weighs 120g including battery. It runs Android Gingerbread 2.3 on a single core Qualcomm MSM8255 processor with speed of 1.4 GHz, a 720p-capable 8 MP precise with LED flash, autofocus and HD video recording, and a secondary front camera 1.3 MP capable for video chat. Together with these specs are Bluetooth, HDMI, WIFI and a 1,500 mAh Li-Ion battery.
You will notice that the internal storages haven’t mentioned since Lenovo has plans to release different models, an 8GB and 16GB versions with 512MB and 1GB RAM respectively.
With Lenovo S2 top of the line features, you can expect that price will level up on the product capabilities. Let’s wait for the formal announcement to take place at CES 2012 event.
