they’re coming up with a 3G iphone so better wait for that 😀
[…] including one with Globe Telecom to sell this hot phone in the Philippines. Predictably enough, many Philippine bloggers are excited at the prospect but what I am interested in is will Globe hand over […]
@ Amy,
Thanks dropping by and responding to my question at my blog.
@ McBilly
It is true that sometime people ttend to have freedom, Since if it will be distributed by Globe it will also be sim block by globe. But you know here in Saudi Arabia they unblock those codes and make it open line.

There maybe someone who will try to import and lower the price from Globe. That is competition
Dexters last blog post..iPhone In Philippines, Will Consumers get It ?
@Dexter, hi..ask ko lng san b pwede mag paayos ng iphone d2 s pinas..nagdownload ako ng itune kc tpos nacancel ko,ayun nag hang n xa..please help me nman..tnx
@marianne,
Where did you buy it, You might want to try Globe or Green Hils.. may kamahalan nga lang sabi nila
*takes too much work: the risk of getting bricked from a failed unlock/waiting for hacked versions of new firmware versions/etc., not to mention official warranty; I’ll be astounded if anyone would still prefer to import (it’s almost sure it’ll be cheaper to import, but I wouldn’t want to go through all that fuss)
Jeffs last blog post..Finally: iPhone reaches the Philippines
Feasible from a business perspective? Why, yes. I and many other I’ve talked to have held out for official availability because it takes too much work to maintain an unofficial/unlocked unit. Besides, all it takes is the uptake of the local Mac market + artistas + feeling artistas and they only need to sell a couple of these things to turn up a profit. (cross-posted from here)
Jeffs last blog post..Finally: iPhone reaches the Philippines
I’ve been waiting for this for a while. Thanks for the news.
I guess, they will offer iphone for postpaid subcribers (Globe Telecoms). That’s good news anyway.
