Congratulations to Taal Batangas 439th Foundation Year

I was born and raised in Taal Batangas, so it’s my pride and honor to tell our readers about the 439th Foundation of my beloved town. Taal, Batangas will be celebrating it’s  439th Foundation Year through different programs, such as Motorcade, Historical House opening ,Trade Fair and many more. Their celebration theme is called El Pasubat stands which means Empanada, Embutido, Longganisa, PAnutsa, BArong, Tapa, Tulingan.

The celebration will last for 3 days from April 28 until April 30, 2011.

  • I think it is better to feature the hand embroidery of Taal because it’s a diminishing industry. We should garner interest in it to revive it and become a cottage industry again. I remember my father used to tell me when he was growing up, he had to embroider p/t so he can have pocket money to go to school. he knew how to make “callado”.
