San Rafael, Calif.-based Autodesk, with just over 7,000 employees worldwide so we can really expect something from her. Based on her track record she is a woman who can again put yahoo on it’s old glory. Although it will be a top job for her to counter what is Google doing in the world of Search Engine.

Bartz is taking over an embattled Yahoo. In mid-November, co-founder Jerry Yang stepped down after failed attempts to improve the company’s performance.

Carol Bartz was chairman, president and CEO of Autodesk from 1992 to 2006. Under her tenure, the company’s revenue grew from $285 million to more than $1.5 billion. Previously, she was an executive at Sun Microsystems In

  • I certainly hope so, if things continue like this Google would be the big bully of the internet marketing and search engine industry, and of course nobody wants that, there always should be alternatives

  • Yahoo should have revamped their chair a long time ago, I think it is a bit to late for this. Yahoo! has once become a household name but now it is nothing more than a old geezer that goes with the flow. Google have relieved Yahoo! from its throne as the largest and most profitable search engine.
Yahoo! have become comfortable with their position before and didn’t bring new ideas to the table that is why the consumers got tired of them and ventured out to find alternatives.

    • @Huan22,

I believe.. It is really tough for them to find the right person to pull up the sinking boat of Yahoo. But at least they do some changes. and I hope it will be for better and not for worst
